The IAFMHS Nominations Committee is seeking nominations from the members for the position of President-Elect, as well as suggestions to replace directors who will be completing their terms in May 2010.  The Nominations Committee will choose 2 possible nominees for each office and an election will be held online via the IAFMHS website.

• Members-at-Large

There are 3 positions for election this year (2 Directors,  and 1 President Elect). Members in good standing can nominate qualified candidates for the Directors' election. Nominations for election to the board of directors shall be made electronically via email.

Nomination Requirements

Eligible candidates, under IAFMHS Rules must be a member in good standing. Nominees must be current members who have agreed to be nominated. They must be willing to attend the annual meetings, and take part in IAFMHS activities.

The nomination must include

·        Name of nominee

·        Discipline

·        Contact information, including e-mail address

·        A 1-page C.V. including qualifications, positions held and professional activities (teaching, research, clinical);

·        A statement from the individual that they are willing to be nominated, and willing to devote sufficient time to the activities of the Association, attend meetings etc.;

·        A statement that there is no conflict of interest;

·        A statement why the person wishes to be nominated, i.e. what they might do for the Association.

The role of a Director

Directors are required to attend annual board meetings and electronic meetings via email.   

Compensation

There is no financial compensation for IAFMHS Directors. All IAFMHS Directors cover their own costs to attend IAFMHS meetings and conferences.

Voting

Online voting will take place from April 19 – 29, 2010. Only members in good standing will be able to vote. Results will be posted to the IAFMHS website by May 10, 2010 and formally announced at the 10^th Annual General Meeting, May 27, 2010.

You must be a member in good standing at time of election. You will need your membership number and password to login to IAFMHS website to vote online.
